If you've had your book edited by a developmental or content editor and are ready for a copy edit, I can help. My focus is on grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I'll also note repetition and provide suggestions to tighten sentences.
I'm a USA Today bestselling author of romance and suspense and particularly like to work on romance novels. I've been writing and editing for 25 years, both fiction and nonfiction, and have published over forty books. Since 2013, I’ve worked with many authors to improve their manuscripts. Currently, I edit for an indie publisher as well as indie authors.
I received a graduate degree in English and American Literature from Harvard University’s School of Extension Studies and undergraduate degrees in both comparative literature and psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
My turnaround time is generally within three weeks. Short stories or novellas typically take two weeks or less. I refer to the Chicago Manual of Style and the Merriam-Webster dictionary.
Please reach out with any questions about the type of edit you're looking for and my availability. I'm happy to provide a sample edit of up to two thousand words to see if we're a good fit as well as a list of books I've edited.
